In Japan, financial problems can lead to a celebrities career to dwindle and for TKO comedian Kimoto Takehiro (51), he is the latest celebrity that is feeling the pain.

The comedian left his agency Shochiku Geino on the 23rd and appearances on TV have been suspended, while his Kansai TV show was ended.

Kimoto apologized on Twitter and has said he will explain more about the situation in the future and disseminate what is true and false.  Kimoto said he would like to refund the investment money collected from his fellow entertainers for the rest of his life.  Investors are said to take legal action towards Kimoto at the beginning of week.

This is what is known for now, the  speculation is that Kimoto is in a situation where he is not able to repay entertainers and staff members after collecting an estimated 700 million yen by proposing Forex (Foreign Exchange Margin Trading) and virtual currency investments.

But another source told Nikkan Sports that a person close to Kimoto managed and collected the funds and that entire amount was deposited with the “other party” who offered investment management.

Kimoto’s TKO comedy partner Kinoshita Takayuki (50) was dismissed in March 2020 due to power harassment of his juniors by throwing plastic water bottles at them and the two have not worked as a duo since then.
