Mizuki Ichirou announced that he is suffering from lung cancer with lymph node metastasis and brain metastasis

Mizuki Ichirou, the singer known for his anime and Tokusatsu songs for series such as “Mazinger Z”, “Babel II”, “Kamen Rider X”, “Jamen Rider Stronger”, “Tekkaman”, “Space Pirate Captain Harlock” and many more, has announced that he is suffering from lung cancer with lymph node metastasis and brain metastasis.

Back in April 2021, Mizuki said he was suffering from partial vocal cord paralysis and was recovering from it.

Mizuki issued the following statement, “I feel that it is necessary to inform you of the facts in order to continue my singer activities in the future, so I will report as follows. It was found that I have lung cancer with lymph node metastasis and brain metastasis. When I was examined in April last year after symptoms of vocal cord paralysis. For these cancer, radiation therapy and drug therapy have been effective until the lesions have settled down and continued to treat these cancers with regular examinations. In addition, a new lung cancer was found earlier this year, but surgery was performed in June, and the progress is good. For voice function, an intra-vocal cord injection was performed and rehabilitation by a speech therapist, and for motor function, I have been receiving rehabilitation by a physiotherapist, and am working hard every day so that I can continue singing activities.”
