Kep1er has surpassed 100 million streaming views on the Billboard Japan TikTok Chart

It was revealed on August 10th that the Korean debut song “WA DA DA” of the 9-member girl group Kep1er (who has members from Japan, China and South Korea) has surpassed 100 million views on the Billboard Japan TikTok Chart.

The same song is the title song of the Korean debut mini-album “FIRST IMPACT” released on January 3rd. Dance covers on TikTok became popular all over the world and in the first half of 2022, the Billboard Japan TikTok Chart it entered at 8th place.

The cumulative number of streaming views in Japan has exceeded 100 million, making it the third K-Pop group after BTS and TWICE to exceed 100 million streaming views of their debut song.

Kep1er will be making their Japanese debut on September 7th.

The breakthrough of 100 million views is the first from a K-POP artist to debut in Japan, and the first artist to debut in 2022, achieving an exceptional achievement with a debut song.
