SUMMER SONIC 2022/SONICMANIA has released their policy to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus by saying “To prevent droplet infection, cheers, loud conversations, call-and-responses, etc. during the live are prohibited.” and the festival called for action restrictions during live performances as a countermeasure against infection with the new coronavirus.

At the Osaka performance on the 20th and the Tokyo (Chiba) concert on the 21st, while filming of the stage is prohibited, several videos appeared to have been filled by spectators and is currently circulating online. In the video, Taka is yelling at the large audiences to raise their voices during the MC portion to bring out MEGAN THEE STALLION.

Taka kept shouting “I can’t hear you!”

And even during the MC portion Taka said, “I’m sure some of you are thinking, ‘Stop it!’ I’m sorry, but this is how we do it. Well, why don’t you try reducing the number of times you take a breath? It’s just a joke.” Taka said, “It’s been a while since we did a summer festival, so I’d like to do a song that matches the lights (at the venue). If you know it, please sing along.”

The video of Taka getting the audience pumped and to cheer loudly spread on the internet and many were critical of his behavior of ignoring infection control measures and aroused controversy among music fans.

Comments from people were as follows:

“The audience is supposed to be prohibited from yelling, so I don’t think he would say this while there are quite a few people who are resistant to it.  I wanted to do it, but that shouldn’t be a good reason to break the rules of the festival”.

“If other artists were voicing, we should speak up when we’re doing it. If you get yelled at later, you should apologize. If you’re worried, reduce your breathing. I’ve been doing my best for the past two years”

“It’s too rude to those who were there”.
