Actor Kagawa Teruyuki is accused by a Ginza host club operator of sexual harassment back in 2019.

According to the Daily Shincho Report, Kagawa sexually harassed a female hosted at a club and caused damage to the owner.  The woman has suffered from PTSD.

A lawsuit was filed but has since been withdrawn.

Kagawa wrote on his official website, “It is true that I have made a woman  feel uncomfortable due to my own incompetence.  It’s true that I did something wrong”.

His management, Lotus Roots Co., Ltd., issued the following statement:

Thank you very much for your continued support regarding the coverage of some of our talents in weekly magazines. We would like to report on the matter reported in some weekly magazines about Kagawa Teruyuki, who belongs to our company. It is true that he gave the woman a sense of displeasure due to his incompetence. He has conveyed his feelings of deep remorse and apologized to the other party, and have received their understanding and forgiveness. The text of this report is also being sent with the consent of the other party. Regarding the content of the lawsuit in this article, the lawsuit has already been withdrawn, and above all, that he respects the feelings of the other party.  All of this is due to the incompetence of the person himself, and it is extremely regrettable that the report will make the other party feel uncomfortable again. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern caused to everyone”.

Kagawa will be making an apology on the TBS morning show “THE TIME” on the 26th, a show he moderates.

But Ginza Club Takashima owner, Takashima Reiko, is tired of people contacting her about it. That it’s not her club where the harassment took place.

Takashima wrote on Twitter, “[Our shop is irrelevant] For some reason, some media outlets are treating our shop as if it was the site of Kagawa Teruyuki’s sexual harassment. It’s irrelevant. I’m annoyed by a series of interview calls to our store. It seems that the staff who went to work earlier was also attacked by a reporter. Our store has nothing to do with it.”

Takashima strongly denies that the acts reported in the media have occurred at the store he runs.

Takashima said, “I feel ill-intentioned that I have been asked many times during this busiest time of the year, when the shipment of cosmetics and Shine Muscat overlaps, and that the reporters have been interviewing me one after another as if it was our store”.
