Back in December 2003, Yahoo! launched its video distribution service “Yahoo! Video”. In 2005, USEN conducted test broadcasts of their free video distribution service GyaO. and in 2009, GyaO Co, Ltd., became a subsidiary of Yahoo Japan Corporation.

Since 2009, the video distribution service GyaO! (operated by USEN and Yahoo! video) was born. And on March 2018, all GYAO! videos could be viewed for free, while paid content was provided as pay-as-you-go at the GyaO! Store.

But bad news for fans as on March 31st, at 5:00 p.m., GyaO!, GyaO! Store and Trend News will be ending.

Netizens were shocked to see the news with comments such as:

I am surprised by the sudden news. I would like you to somehow continue the service in a different way, with a fee-based membership system.

I’m very sorry that the service has ended

I am stunned by the sudden news. I always use this for movies and dramas. shocking

Thank you for letting me watch a lot of programs such as Nippon 2 and INI. Personally, I am really grateful that I was able to refresh myself by watching a program that I can watch with enthusiasm during a difficult time.

If it weren’t for GYAO, such as JO1 HOUSE, INI STATION, etc., I wouldn’t have come to like my current favorites so much. Thank you for your help until now.

If you are aware of the unreasonableness, I would like you to re-deliver Produce. It’s okay to stream a lot of things that haven’t been edited. There are a lot of unreleased treasure videos! There are more! I want to see it too much It’s a waste to be asleep. But I am truly grateful and grateful for letting me meet INI.

really? I’ve been watching it almost everyday (´・ω・`) Thank you for entertaining me until now

We have been enjoying it for free for a long time. Thank you very much. Gyao!’s original distribution, especially #Kimura Sa~~n is excellent content, and I am enjoying it every week. I would be very happy if you could continue in some form, even if it is paid. Thank you for your consideration.

GYAO! was always there at OWV milestones, such as OWV’s formation commemorative broadcast and OWV road, which was very indebted to Japan and OWV related programs . Thank you for the many deliveries

I was really happy to meet PRODUCE101JAPAN. Thank you very much. I made my debut on Twitter with the expectation of redistribution. Please, please somehow manage to watch the whole story again.

I want you to continue the service in a different form. I used it regularly because it delivered dramas that were not available on other streaming services. I want to throw coins.

What should I do from April? Too sad~! ! (T_T)
