Animate Ikebukuro Grand Opening celebrated their 40th anniversary.

On March 16th, Animate celebrated its 40th anniversary, and the “Animate Ikebukuro Main Store” underwent a major renovation as the world’s largest anime shop. 300 people total appeared.

In addition to doubling the sales floor area, there will be an Animate Theater where you can enjoy a stage performance and reading drama for the first time, and a new space where you can experience the world of animation, manga, novels, etc. Not only that, Animate Ikebukuro created the world’s largest space where you can enjoy using your five senses, such as “seeing”, “listening”, and “tasting”.

In addition to selling character goods on the 1st floor, the Animate Cafe Gratte Ikebukuro Main Store where you can enjoy graphic lattes with characters printed on the cream on top of drinks and icing cookies has appeared.

The new Animate Theater on the 2nd basement floor is Animate’s first stage facility, with a maximum of 208 seats. In a spacious space, many performances such as stage performances, reading dramas, and talk shows are scheduled.
