On June 5th, it was announced on the website of LDH, to which the group Happiness belongs, that the unit will disband on September 26th.

The website reports, “At this time, we would like to inform you that Happiness will disband on September 26, 2023. In the midst of a global pandemic and other factors that prevented us from doing what we wanted to do, each member began to think deeply about their future activities and their own lives. We had a lot of discussions, and while we shared a strong feeling that’I love Happiness and want to cherish the fans who support us’, there were times when we had conflicting opinions, but in the end, all the members came to a decision as a group was ‘dissolution'”.

“We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported Happiness so far, and to everyone who has warmly watched over and supported us for the 12 and a half years since our debut. We are planning to hold fan meetings in 4 cities from the second half of the month to early August, and the last live on September 26. We hope that the five members of Happiness will be able to carry out their activities until the last day of Happiness. After September 26th, Kaede, SAYAKA, MIYUU, and Ritsu Kawamoto will focus on their overseas-based SG5 artist activities, while Fujii Karen will continue to work as an individual. Through their respective activities, we will continue to deliver entertainment that will please everyone, so we ask for your continued warm support”.

Happiness is a girl unit consisting of SAYAKA, Kaede, Fujii Karen, MIYUU, and Risa Kawamoto. Happiness Started activities in 2008, debuted in February 2011 with the single “Kiss Me”, and in September 2017, the single “GOLD” won first place on the Oricon for the first time.
