Hirosue Ryoko admits to affair, is dropped by four major advertisers and is suspended indefinitely by her agency

Hirosue Ryoko through her staff posted a message which admits to her affair with married Michelin star Chef/restaurant owner Toba Shusaku. The actrress was suspended indefinitely by her agency and the end result was her being dropped by four major advertisers.

Nihon Kimono released the following statement, “Today, the facts have been revealed. As a result, we thought that the impact on customers and the world would be enormous, so we withdrew the images”. In addition LegalOn Technologies, LegalForce and Edwin have dropped their advertisements featuring Hirosue. Kirin Brewery deleted their CM back on the 8th.

Hirosue wrote in her apology letter, “I, Hirosue Ryoko, deeply and sincerely apologize for causing trouble and worry to many people due to my careless behavior. I would like to think about my life from now on, keeping in mind the fact that I have defiled the actress career that I admired, and the sin of hurting Toba’s family.  I got down on my knees and directly apologized to my own family and three children. They understood and accepted me as an immature mother. I would also like to take this opportunity to apologize for disappointing all of my dear fans who have supported me until now due to this incident”.

Toba Shusaku also released a statement on Twitter, “This time, my careless behavior has caused trouble to the world, and I am truly sorry.  Although I understood in my head that it was an act that would cause trouble to many people, I couldn’t imagine what would happen to the other person’s family, my own family, and everyone around me. I acted without a calm judgment.  This is the result of my weakness, and above all, my cunning. I deeply regret it. In the future, I would like to face cooking from scratch again. I think about what I can do for the world”.

Hirosue’s agency released the following statement, “This time, we would like to apologize to everyone involved and everyone who has always supported us due to the news about Hirosue Ryoko, who belongs to our company. We sincerely apologize. Regarding the contents of this report, it is as per the comment ofHirosue Ryoko , which was announced on Instagram by the staff. In light of the seriousness of the situation, the office has decided to suspend Hirosue Ryoko for an indefinite period of time. Regarding the work currently in progress, we will sincerely deal with it so as not to cause any inconvenience to the people involved. We are taking this matter very seriously. Finally, we would like to express our deepest apologies to everyone who has been concerned and inconvenienced”.
