NMB48 veteran Shibuya Nagisa to graduate

NMB48 Shibuya Nagisa (26) announced her graduation at Team N’s performance “Yuuku Raibu” held at the NMB48 theater in Osaka on the 7th. She will be releasing her final single on October 4th. The song, which will be her 28th single, will be called “Shibuya Nagisa Graduation Single”, and Shibuya will serve as the center.

Home base after a long absence due to her schedule for theater performances. After the main part ended, the encore started with Shibuya’s center song “Yumehito”. After finishing all the performances, she made her announcement that she is graduating and discussed her admiration of NMB48.

Shibuya said, “Excuse me, can I say a word here? Why am I crying here? I thought it would be nice if I could live honestly and innocently, and I was inspired by (everyone)”.

After the announcement, the audience erupted in applause, and Shibuya was in tears, saying, “Everyone, it hurts.”

She played Maruyama Karin, a woman whom Ryota Yamazato likes, in the Nippon TV drama “Daga, jōnetsu wa aru” in April, and made her first appearance in a serial drama. Originally, she had given “actress” as her goal from the time she joined.

Shibuya debuted as a 4th generation member in December 2012. In 2013, she joined the AKB48 group’s research student unit “Tentumu chu!”. In NMB48, she remained a research student and became a member of AKB48’s singles. She was promoted to a regular member in February 2014, and entered her first senbatsu with “Takane no Ringo” in March of the same year. Her gentle tone and her constant smile are impressive. In recent years, due to her outstanding communication skills, she is not bound by the framework of an idol and is active in variety shows and radio. It was also her first appearance in a serial drama. She likes comedy, and she participated in “King of Conte” and “R-1 Grand Prix 2017”. She has advanced to the third round in R-1, and her comedy sense is highly appreciated by comedians.
