Nippon Television (NTV) posted a message on top of their website asking individuals to refrain from slandering people on SNS due to the passing of Ashihara Hinako.

Slander has ignited on social media as people try to place blame for the death of Ashihara, who prior to her death, posted messages of how the “Sexy Tanaka-san” drama was going against her agreement that it would be faithful to her manga and how she had to step in for the final two episodes to write the script because they weren’t listening to her.

The message reads:

We would like to express our deepest condolences and condolences upon hearing of the passing of Hinako Ashihara.
As Nippon Television, we take this very seriously.
The drama “Sexy Tanaka-san” was produced and broadcast under the responsibility of Nippon Television, and we
sincerely request that individuals refrain from slandering individuals involved on SNS, etc.
