“Narue no Sekai” mangaka Marukawa Tomohiro has passed away

Marukawa Tomohiro, the manga artist and author of “Narue no Sekai” for “Shonen Ace” and “Mahou Shoujo No. 4-chan” for “Young Ace”, passed away on January 25th due to ischemic heart disease. He passed away at the age of 53. On the 9th, the news of his death was announced on Shonen Ace’s official X (formerly Twitter).

“Narue no Sekai” would receive a 12-episode TV anime adaptation in April-June 2003.

Marukawa has had numerous hiatus in the past due to poor health. In 2002, he suffered from tendonitis which slowed down the process and volumes came out later.
