Hirate Yurina (22) is the global model for the new RPG “Hoshi ni Nare Veda no Kishi-tachi” (Become a Star: Knights of the Veda) for PCs and smartphones that will be released in spring 2024 by HYBE IM, the game business division of HYBE, the Korean general entertainment company to which she belongs.

It has been decided that she will sing the main theme “Zetsubo no Megami” (Goddess of Despair).

Hirate transferred to the new label “NAECO” established by HYBE JAPAN in 2022. At the “HYBE IM Game Business Briefing” held on the 27th, the reason for the appointment was stated as follows: “When thinking about creating a collaborative song and future commercial development, we felt that she was one of the artists belonging to HYBE who could sing and act”.

It was also stated that it is “not Hirate’s first single after her transfer, but rather a collaborative song”. In the future, Hirate will participate in various ways, including singing the main theme and TV commercials for the game.

As the first step, visuals and part of the main theme “Goddess of Despair” are scheduled to be released in conjunction with the start of pre-registration on March 5th. “Goddess of Despair” is a rock-style song whose lyrics express the indomitable spirit of the main character who fights after being appointed by the in-game goddess Veda. Composed and produced by Shiina Go, who has worked on many songs including “Kamado Tanjiro no Uta” and “Kamado Nezuko no Uta” from the anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,” as well as the games “God Eater” and “Tales of Legendia.” in charge. The lyrics were written by Kanon, who is also an active singer.
