Arashi announces the launch of a new company as a group

It was revealed on the 10th that the popular pop group Arashi has launched a new company.

STARTO ENTERTAINMENT (which represented ARASHI, TOKIO, 20th Century, KAT-TUN, Hey! Say! JUMP, Kis-my-ft2, WEST., King & Prince, to name a few), a new company that started full-scale operations this month, that the talents who belonged to SMILE_UP. (formerly Johnny’s Entertainment) have transferred to STARTO ENTERTAINMENT.

It was announced that all talent and employees who belonged to the company, who wanted to do so, would be transferred to STARTO ENTERTAINMENT, with a choice between an agent contract or a management contract.

Arashi members Aiba Masaki, Matsumoto Jun, Ninomiya Kazunari, Ohno Satoshi, Sakurai Shojointly announced on their website on the STARTO ENTERTAINMENT website, “We hereby announce that Arashi has established a company with five members. We debuted in 1999, and in 2024, it will be our 25th anniversary. All members are now in their 40s”.

As for why they established their new company, the group said, “We want to be more independent than ever before, make decisions more independently than ever before, and act more independently than ever before. And above all, we want to be closer to the fans who support us every day. We want people to feel that way. We want to be more proactive. With that in mind, the five of us talked over and over again and established the company. On the other hand, there are limits to what the five of us can do alone. I hope we can continue to prepare for the future, sometimes drawing on the help of the staff we have worked with in the past. Thank you for your continued support of Arashi”.

ARASHI sent their notification via e-mail to their fan club members at 5:05 p.m., which has deep significance to their fans because ARASHI has used the number 5 numerous times.  Also, making fans happy is how the names were listed in “AMNOS” order (the last names of each member).

Although the company name has not been made public, there have been comments on X (formerly known as Twitter) that it maybe “Arashi Co., Ltd.” or “AMNOS”.

STARTO ENTERTAINMENT, which will start in earnest from this month, will hold its first event “WE ARE! Let’s get the party STARTO!!” at Tokyo Dome on the 10th and Kyocera Dome Osaka on May 29th and 30th, with 14 groups and 75 talents performing. will be held.
