Katori Shingo plays a freelance political journalist who hates his family and children. Aiming to improve his image in order to win the election, the protagonist Omori Ippei ends up living with his single-father brother-in-law and his children. Gradually, he begins to seriously confront his family’s problems, and eventually takes a stand to seriously try to change society. This “election & fake family drama” is full of laughs and tears.

【story】

Omori Ippei (Katori Shingo), a producer of a news program, was forced to leave the TV station due to a scandal. He now lives in his parents’ house, which was left to him by his father, and calls himself a freelance political journalist, but is living a dull life that is practically unemployed. One day, Ippei receives advice from Makabe Kojiro (Yasuda Ken), the second public secretary to House of Representatives member Kuroiwa Tetsuo (Hashimoto Jun) and his childhood friend since elementary school, and decides to become a politician. He tries to get back on track in life by aiming to win the next ward assembly election. So, Ippei invites his brother-in-law Obara Shosuke (Shison Jun), a single father who works as a nursery teacher while raising two children, and his family to live with him.
