Yamaguchi Maho (23) participated in an AKB48 Group handshake event at Pacifico Yokohama on May 5th.
While it was a handshake event, AKS said that Yamaguchi would not participate in the handshake but will speak to fans only. And the event is the first time Yamaguchi would interact with fans directly after the incident in which she was assaulted by two men back in December.
According to fans who visited Yamaguchi, they said that her area was quite isolated and there were 5-6 security guards and many staff watching over Yamaguchi. Fans felt it was a bit inconvenient because they made her area feel isolated.
Yamaguchi on the otherhand was bright and thanked the fans and apologized for making them wory.
Even Yamaguchi fans were emotional and some were seen crying after meeting with Yamaguchi.
