B’z LIVE-GYM Pleasure 2018 Tour announced to celebrate B’z 30th Anniversary

Last November, B’z released their 20th full-length album “Dinosaur” and since then, they have been on tour for B’z LIVE-GYM 2017-2018 “LIVE DINOSAUR”.

On the final day of the tour held at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka on February 4th, at the end of the live performance, a big screen showed up on the venue and projected was “B’z LIVE-GYM Pleasure 2018” announcement, which led to a huge cheer among those in attendance.

For those not familiar with B’z and their live performances, LIVE-GYM is the nickname of B’z when on tour.

And for tours, B’z has three types of tours: Album Tour, Pleasure Tour and Showcase.

Album tour is the most common, with each original album release, B’z tends to do an album tour.  A Showcase Tour is a secret live performance and is announced only via radio or newspaper.  Tickets are very hard to obtain because they are often held in small venues.

But a Pleasure Tour is only done every several years. The goal was to perform songs from previous albums and songs never performed ever before.  And so far, the Pleasure Tour’s have happened every fifth anniversary, so their 20th anniversary, “B’z LIVE-GYM Pleasure 2008 – GLORY DAYS” tour was held.  In 2013, for the 25th Anniversary, “B’z LIVE-GYM Pleasure 2013 – ENDLESS SUMMER-” was held.  And now, as the group’s 30th Anniversary is happening, “B’z LIVE-GYM PLEASURE 2018”.

“B’z LIVE-GYM PLEASURE 2018”. will start in Okinawa in July and a total of 23 concerts at 12 locations nationwide and will conclude on September 21-22 at Ajinomoto Stadium in Chofu, Tokyo.
