Sawajiri Erika is featured as an idol for the group Sunnies in the film “Neko wa daku mono”

On June 23rd, the film “Neko wa daku mono” (Cat’s embrace) will be released in Japan.

The film stars Sawajiri Erika, Yoshizawa Ryo, Mineta Kazunobu, Suiyoubi no Campanella’s KOM_I and Iwamatsu Ryo. And the film is based on the 2015 novel by Ooyama Junko.

The film marks the first film for Sawajiri Erika as the lead role in six years since her 2012 film “Helter Skelter”.

The ending theme is titled “Romance Kosaten” (Romance Intersection) featuring the film’s main character Saori (portrayed by Sawajiri Erika).  Saori used to be in an idol group known as the Sunnies.

The song was released on the iTunes store and Recochoku on May 23rd and will also be featured via karaoke at JOYSOUND.

The Sunnies features leader, Natsuko/Nattsun (portrayed by Ito Yumi/ICONIQ) dressed in red, Miru/Mirumiru (portrayed by Sato Nori) in yellow, Rinrin/Suzuko (portrayed by Yuenaga Yuri), Tokki/Tokiko (portrayed by Hayashida Miyu) in green and Saorin/Saori (portrayed by Sawajiri Erika) in blue.

The “Romance Kosaten” music video featuring the Sunnies was released on May 14th.
