Amuro Namie has performed her last concert in Tokyo and final concert of “namie amuro Final Tour 2018 ~Finally~

On June 3rd, Amuro Namie performed her final concert in Tokyo at Tokyo Dome and her final concert of “namie amuro Final Tour 2018 ~Finally~.

Amuro told the audience of 52,000 in tears, “These last 25 years have become a very important memory for me”.

Amuro performed 30 songs for 2 hours and 45 minutes almost without any breaks and as the audience cheered and her 16 dancers each gave her a hug, Amuro said, “Thank you very much for today”.

Amuro continued, “I will be retiring on September 16th, the day I made my debut.  I have experienced many things in the last 25 years and I have been able to meet a lot of fans”.  As Amuro looked down for 10 seconds in tears, many audience members screamed for her to not stop, to not retire.

Since starting her farewell tour in February, Amuro has performed for 750,000 people in 23 shows, 23 different locations.  Surpassing the record of Oda Kazumasa who had the domestic record of performing for 740,000 people.

In addition, when you add the number of people who went to watch Amuro’s performance in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China, the number of people she has performed for at home and abroad is 800,000+ people.
