MAX/former SUPER MONKEY’S members NANA and REINA blogged, while MINA & LINA posted an Instagram about Amuro Namie’s retirement

MAX members and former SUPER MONKEY’S member, NANA and REINA blogged about their support for their former SUPER MONKEYS member, Amuro Namie.

NANA (Takushi Nanako) and MINA (Inoue Minako) were part of the original five members of the SUPER MONKEY’S alongside Amuro Namie in 1992 and released their double sided-A single “Koi no Cute Beat/Mister U.S.A.”.  When two members dropped out, REINA (Miyauchi Reina) and Lina (Matsuda Ritsuko) were added to the group and became known as Namie Amuro with Super Monkeys.

With the popularity of their fifth single “Try me ~Watashi o Shinjite~”, Amuro Namie became a solo act, while the Super Monkeys became known as MAX.

NANA wrote on her blog:

Thank you!!!

Knowing Namie as a member of SUPER MONKEY’S, it was the the best miracle for me!

We so many memories, my heart is full with a lot of gratitude.

Thank you very much!

Namie’s new chapter will be beginning.

REINA wrote on her blog:

At last this day has arrived!

Have you been able to follow the retirement of Namie?

She delivered a smile right ’till the end which was very cool!

I am proud to have worked with her as a member of the SUPER MONKEY’S and as her classmate!

Thank you so much for your courage and excitement!

There are a lot of thoughts that I want to tell you but hopefully someday, we can meet and talk to each other one day!

I really appreciate your work.

Namie, please enjoy the second chapter of your life.
