(C) TERRACE HOUSE: OPENING NEW DOORS. NETFLIX
These past few episodes have been full of drama, as we saw Koseta Mayu, who came to live in “Terrace House” to find love, fell hard for new housemate Ishikura Noah.
Problem was, the other housemate Tanaka Yui has interest in Noah and while people thought Mayu was the villain and Yui, the sweet, nice girl, the start of “Terrace House: Opening New Doors” has no doubt shed new light that Yui, may not be the sweet, nice girl as everyone thought.
In fact, the episode for the first episode of the fourth season (episode 25) is titled “Fallen Angel”.
Before I continue on, please know….SPOILER ALERT is in full effect!
But here we are with episode 26 and Koseta Mayu has decided to give it her final shot and confess her feelings towards Noah. How would he reciprocate? Will he feel the same?
Unfortunately, Koseta Mayu was rejected. It was no surprise, considering Mayu moved in too quickly and it’s how she rolls…she falls in love fast and goes full force when she likes someone.
The biggest surprise is that Koseta decided her time at the Terrace House was now over. And Yui, not sure if it was the show’s editing, but she was portrayed as insensitive. But you have to give credit to Triendl Reina, as a host, she called it…she never bought that Yui as super nice and sweet, while all the other hosts did think that way.
But not all was good, after episode 25 aired, on YouTube, we saw behind-the-scenes with Taka really going off on Mayu for not doing part of upkeep (cleaning or washing one’s dishes).
Right after I saw this, I felt the writing was on the wall…Koseta was going to move out of the Terrace House.
But as Koseta Mayu’s time in the Terrace House lasted nearly three months (episodes 17-26), we now have a new housemate to replace her, university student Matarai Aya.
And will Aya be a good match for Taka? I guess we will have to wait and see.
