IZ*ONE’s “La Vie en Rose” becomes the most viewed K-Pop group debut MV in its first day of release

IZ*ONE’s first day of musical success has led to another record being made.

This time, IZ*ONE’s “La Vie en Rose” music video becomes the most viewed K-Pop group debut MV in its first day of release.

The previous #1 most viewed music video by a debut group was Stray Kids with their song “District 9” back in March 26, 2018 with 4,274,649 views.

The top 3 prior to IZ*ONE’s release were:

1. Stray Kids – District 9 – 4,274,649 (March 26, 2018)
2. Wanna One – Energetic – 4,034,795 (August 7, 2017)
3. Blackpink – Boombayah – 3,328,090 (August 8, 2016)

With less than two hours to go, IZ*ONE surpassed the top # views with two hours to go, with 4,276,000.

UPDATE: By the 24th hour, IZ*ONE received a total of 4,559,202 views.  The video has now has now surpassed 5 million views.

IZ*ONE (pronounced as “Eyez One”/IZ=12 and the meaning is 12 members coming together as ONE) features Jang Wonyoung, Miyawaki Sakura, Jo Yuri, Choi Yena, Ahn Yujin, Yabuki Nako, Kwon Eunbi, Kang Hyewon, Honda Hitomi, Kim Chaewon, Kim Minju and Lee Chaeyeon.

The 12 members are the finalists of Mnet’s “Produce48” which began with 48 trainees from South Korea and 48 members of Japan’s AKB48G (AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, NGT48).
