[UPDATE] IZ*ONE’s reality show “IZ*ONE CHU” Episode 2 – Membership Training in Japan continues

IZ*ONE’s reality show “IZ*ONE CHU” episode 2 will be airing in a few hours.

IZ*ONE (pronounced as “Eyez One”/IZ=12 and the meaning is 12 members coming together as ONE) features Jang Wonyoung, Miyawaki Sakura, Jo Yuri, Choi Yena, Ahn Yujin, Yabuki Nako, Kwon Eunbi, Kang Hyewon, Honda Hitomi, Kim Chaewon, Kim Minju and Lee Chaeyeon.

The 12 members are the finalists of Mnet’s “Produce48” which began with 48 trainees from South Korea and 48 members of Japan’s AKB48G (AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, NGT48).

The show will be aired at 11:00 p.m. KST on Thursday night (for those in the US, that is 7:00 a.m. PST on Thursday). After this episode, there will be two more episodes remaining.

Similar to “Produce48”, expect to see English subtitled videos to pop up on YouTube throughout today or next few days.

The 12 members are the finalists of Mnet’s “Produce48” which began with 48 trainees from South Korea and 48 members of Japan’s AKB48G (AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, NGT48).

The episode begins with footage of fans attending the Show-Con (October 29th) and the group preparing to perform live and seeing how nervous they were and afterward after achieving success.

The show then goes 27 days before and the group arrive at Honda Hitomi’s home in Tochigi Prefecture.

And showing the K-Line shopping for Korean items to give to Hitomi’s family.

The group then goes through Hitomi’s childhood photos.

The family gets to know the members of IZ*ONE… Hitomi’s brother is shocked to find out that both Ahn Yujin and Jang Wonyoung, who are the tallest members, are also the youngest members of the group and are younger than his younger sister.

And as they spend time with the family, Kwon Eunbi reads a touching letter to Hitomi’s mother about her daughter. Reassuring the family that they will take care of Hitomi for the next 2 years and six months.

A translation from Adheweni:

From now on, Hitomi will leave her parents side.
I think you must be very worried about seeing her living in an unfamiliar place for two and a half years.
But don’t worry too much. I believe she will manage to do it better than anyone else.
Also, Hitomi won’t be lonely because there are 11 members, including me, who will be with her.

After visiting and eating at her family’s home, the group travel to a ryokan. And we get a pajama showcase with pairs!

The group talk about who would get married first and they talked about Kang Hyewon, how she’s popular, pretty and unusual.
