Terrace House: Opening New Doors Episode 40 – More Love Triangles (Spoiler Alert!)

“Terrace House: Opening New Doors” episode 40 has aired and it no doubt left us wondering about a few things…

First, I noticed that the last “Terrace House” post, I put episode 38 instead of 39.  My bad.  Sorry, about that. I caught it and fixed the problem.

Anyway….SPOILER ALERT for episode 40.

First, let’s kick off with the episode teaser:

The episode begins with Sota asking Risako out (I don’t think he’s into Risako or that’s his style…), while Kaito and Maya plan to go out on a date at an art museum?  What about Yui?

As she said last episode of her intention, Yui went to see Shohei’s live performance at the Apple Music Festival in Nagano and we see Shohei and Yui talk.

Anyway, prior to that, the ladies talk about the guys, the guys talk about the ladies.  Interesting that Sota and Aio have an interest in Risako.

Speaking of Sota, he’s like another Taka but more moody. I’m not saying that he’s boring to watch but not sure about him and the other roommates in terms of chemistry. Maybe he’ll pop off on someone.

I don’t know…I have bitter beer face right now.  What about Kaito and Yui?  Maybe he’s hip to Maya now?

But Risako and Yui talk about Kaito and Yui getting closer together. Does she mind?

Anyway, Maya and Kaito go out again, this time to a trick art museum and then the two watch a movie together on a laptop.

But it looks like we are going to see love triangles and possibly if there is a rejection, another person leaving the house.

But it’s more than likely that we will see two love triangles…Yui-Kaito-Maya and Aio-Risako-Sota. I don’t know how I feel about it just yet.  To be truthful, with so many cast changes, I still have yet to warm up to the new cast members.  But I’ll give this latest group of housemates the benefit of the doubt.  It’s a different dynamic and with Yui bonding with her last housemates, I just get this feeling that she may be the next one out of there.
