“Terrace House: Opening New Doors” Episode 46 Spoiler “No Longer a Virgin” – Why Yui…Why?

It’s an episode we expected fireworks…not in a good way either!

Let’s kick off with the episode 46 trailer!

As always… OK, if you don’t want to read spoilers, then don’t read this blog post.

OK, let’s start with what’s going on prior to this episode and I’ll simplify it as much as I can:

YUI – Yui was considered the nice girl when she first joined the Terrace House, but then people saw her ways as episodes continued of talking crap.  There is no filter on her.  Until she saw how the hosts were dissing her, she realized the error of her ways and changed.

Yui + Maya + Risako are the three female houseguests at the Terrace House.  Yui and Risako got closer, Maya felt left out.  Yui and Risako talked heart to heart and what was discussed, should have stayed between them.  Unfortunately, Yui getting closer to Maya (and houseguest Aio, who was trying to get close to Risako earlier on), tells Maya of the things that Risako had said and did.

Last week, Yui told the story of how she gifted her and Aio socks, but when Maya came in, Risako felt bad and gave her socks for herself as a present to Maya.  Possibly as a peace offering.

Maya was pissed, Yui and Aio confirmed it and Maya confronted Risako about it and the things she told Yui.

Risako tried to diffuse the argument by saying what is past is past, move forward.

And now, here we are with episode 46 after Dark Yui has added major tension to the “Terrace House”.

First I want to say, this is the kind of backstabbing that we often see in western reality shows, never would I have thought we would see tensions and relationships this dysfunctional to the point that while good for television, for those who understand Japanese culture, would feel embarrass and also bitter to see such crap going on.

On to episode 46.

The group discusses the sock incident and then how Aio and Risako held hands on a date and things didn’t work out. Then talking about how Risako is fake and how she isn’t the same person behind-the-scenes as she is on camera.

I think it’s quite evident that when you attack someone like this…it doesn’t work out and makes things awkward.  There are ways of civility but this is not cool!  So, literally Yui, Maya and Aio really blasted Risako.

Oh now they are apologizing to each other… for the sake of living with each other, they’ll have to get along but they probably realized people will see them on the show and post negative comments on Instagram.  Which has been done already.  Yui can’t even apologize correctly for her actions… So dark!

Masao and Risako go to lunch and learning that since he was gone, tensions have increased in the Terrace House.

Meanwhile, later on, Masao and Yui hang out and discussing about her and Aio.  Yuki tells him that Aio and her have never kissed, she just put her head on his shoulder.

Aio now talking with Risako and apologizing because he feels guilty and how he and Yui slept together at his parents house the night they went out drinking and did more than just kissing.  So, Risako kind of understands why Aio was siding with Yui now.

Now in the women’s room, Risako wakes up a sleeping Yui and “How far have you gone with Aio-kun?”. Yui is shocked by the question.  Yui said they just held hands and then Risako tells her, “I heard everything from Aio-kun”.

Cliffhanger!

WOW!  Let’s see how this plays out in episode 47!
