Enka singer Shien passed away back in March

It was announced that enka singer Shien (41) had passed away and a funeral was held by close relatives.

According to news reports, Shien lived alone at a home in Tokyo and was in contact with her mother from the Hyogo Prefecture on a daily basis.

Around March 7th, her mother didn’t hear from her and when she went to Tokyo to check on her, she was found dead.

The result of an autopsy was that she was sick and passed away.  She had no major illnesses.
