On July 27th, NHK will air their half hour music drama series “Dakara watashi wa oshimashita” which begins at 11:30 to 11:59 p.m. and will be rebroadcast on August 3rd at 12:40 a.m. to 1:09 a.m. and will be available on NHK Demand.

The drama stars Sakurai Yuki as a woman named Yuki, an arasa OL (arasa is an abbreviation for “around 30”) that is in a troubled relationship with her fiance/boyfriend (portrayed by Hosoda Yoshihiko) and is now has hit the lowest point of her life. One day she left her smartphone at a live-house and when she goes to pick it up, there is an underground idol concert with a lot of wota.

Life changes for Yuki when she meets underground idol Hana (portrayed by Shiraishi Sei), who dreams of becoming a major idol. While Hana is not great at dancing, not good at singing, she still dreams of becoming an idol and this inspires Yuki.

Meanwhile, the girls of Sunny Side Up are being investigated by a detective and there is a naughty otaku who stalks members.

Yuki gets courage from Hana as she sees Hana doing all she can to become an idol and lends her support to her and the girls of Sunny Side Up.
