Shinkai Makoto’s latest animated film “Tenki no Ko” has surpassed 4 billion yen ($36.8 million yen) in eleven days.
Shinkai learned the good news at a thank you stage greeting event for the animated film in which he thanked the audience.
Shinkai was surprised when he found out that there were people who watched the film more than ten times.
