NHK resumes “Amachan”distribution on NHK On-Demand

“Amachan” is the 88th NHK morning drama (Asadora) and was a ratings success.

Written by Kudo Kankuro and starring Nonen Rena, the 156 episode series was distributed on NHK’s On Demand.  But actor/musician Pierre Taki was arrested for cocaine use back in March and this led to NHK to halt distribution of “Amachan” and six other programs featuring Taki.

But NHK released a statement that they will resume the distribution of “Amachan” on August 23rd on NHK On Demand.  As for the other six shows, NHK said they will resume it after adjustments are made.
