“Sazae-san” seiyuu Kato Midori enters the Guinness Book of World Records for “A voice actor that has played the same anime character for the longest time”

Fuji TV’s popular anime series “Sazae-san” is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and six years ago, received a Guinness Book of World Record for “the longest TV anime program”.

Voice actress Kato Midori (80) has been the voice actress for “Sazae-san” since the anime series first debuted back in 1969.

And on November 17th, Kato received a Guinness Book of World Records as “the voice actor who has played the same anime character for the longest time”.

Fuji TV will kick off their “Sazae-san Week” starting on Monday, November 18th.
