Inagaki Goro on Makihara Noriyuki’s arrest

Inagaki Goro (46) was surprised and shocked about Makihara Noriyuki’s arrest.

Inagaki who was interviewed by a sports newspaper in Osaka and has worked with Makihara as a member of SMAP, said he hopes Makihara is able to rehabilitate.

Makihara wrote “Sekai ni hitotsu dake hana” for SMAP and sold over 3.1 million copies, becoming the #1 single released in the Heisei era.  The song is often used at events and was the group’s last song to perform before they broke up.

Makihara also wrote the song “Love & Peace” for the group in 2010.
