Eight people in western Japan who attended a concert at Osaka Kyobashi Live House Arc on Feb. 15/16 tested positive for COVID-19

Three women in western Japan who attended concert at Osaka Kyobashi Live House Arc tested positive for COVID-19 and there are fears that more people who attended the event may have been infected with the coronavirus.

And the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare dispatched their cluster response team to investigate and track others who attended the event.

What is known right now:

  • The following event on February 15th titled “Katsuo Collection vol. 55” and began at 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and featured performing artists: ZILCONIA / GRAND COLOR STONE / KING / FLATINALism and the event on February 16th titled “Katsuo Hangout – Vol. 99” which began at 5:30 p.m. and featured  members from the bands (mentioned on the 15th performance) were the primary performers on those two days.
  • According to Mainichi Shimbun:

The three people newly revealed to have the virus are a woman in her 40s living in Osaka Prefecture, another woman in her 40s residing in the city of Kobe, and a woman in her 50s from the city of Kyoto.

The women from Osaka Prefecture and Kobe were at the venue on Feb. 15, while the woman from Kyoto was there on both Feb. 15 and 16. Additionally, a man in his 50s from Osaka Prefecture and a man in his 40s from Kobe have also been revealed to be infected with the virus.

According to the Osaka Prefectural Government and others, a total of eight people who were connected to performances at the venue or who were in the audience over Feb. 15 and 16 have been confirmed to have the coronavirus. Over the two days of shows, it appears that over 200 people were in the building, and the prefectural government intends to examine everyone who was there.

  • The building for the Live House Arc is being cleaned and disinfected.
