"TERRACE HOUSE: TOKYO 2019-2020" fans flock to Kobayashi Kai's Instagram showing their concern after Kimura Hana's death

Many “TERRACE HOUSE: TOKYO 2019-2020” fans are flocking to former castmaste Kobayashi Kai’s Instagram showing concern after the death of Kimura Hana.

For those who are not familiar with the context of what happened on the show and what was going on online.

Kobayashi Kai joined the Terrace House in hopes to grow as a person, to get the motivation to change but also pursuing his career as a comedian. He also discussed on the show that he has suffered from depression.

Meanwhile, pro wrestler Kimura Hana joined the Terrace House in hopes to find love, but also in hopes to have more people interested in pro wrestling. Hana was one of the more vibrant castmates on the show.

While the two tried to see if there was a chance of a spark between them, they were obviously incompatible. But to further tensions, episode 38 would serve as one of the darkest episodes in the series so far.

In episode 38, Kimura was seen crying when she found her wrestling outfit dried and shrunken to the point that she could no longer wear it. Her wrestling outfits are very expensive at over $1000(US). She admitted that she accidentally left it in the washer to castmaste, Yume.

What happened is that castmate Yume discovered when she pulled out the clothes that Kai washed his clothes along with hers.

When everyone was together later that night and asked Kai about it, he apologized as he didn’t look in the washer and washed his clothes. While Vivi tried to get everyone to help her by donating money for her to buy a new outfit, Hana was livid, that no matter what anyone could say, nothing would fix the problem of losing that outfit. The outfit for her is her life with so many memories. Disgusted that Kobayashi was quiet, while Vivi was talking for him and trying to smooth things over, Kobayashi’s silence left Hana even more angry.

It was an intense exchange that left a dark cloud over the Terrace House.

Needless to say, episode 38 was one of the darkest arguments ever seen on a “Terrace House” episode and the result was that Kobayashi Kai would eventually leave the Terrace House, while Kimura Hana would receive a lot of hate on SNS by those who felt what she did to Kobayashi was wrong and also as a poro wrestler, receiving criticism in regards to wrestling.

In a series of deleted tweets made by Kimura earlier today, she referenced the hate messages and was no doubt impacted by it. And her final Instagram post and Instagram story was her saying goodbye to everyone.

With the surprise of Kimura Hana’s death, many worried for Kobayashi Kai that he may blame himself for Kimura’s death (or others may blame him for it). So, many viewers of “TERRACE HOUSE: TOKYO 2019-2020” are trying to show their support for Kai but also to tell him to not blame himself and to not hurt himself.
