Visual of actor Kusanagi Tsuyoshi as a transgendered woman for the upcoming film “Midnight Swan” is featured on Weekly Bunshun’s upcoming photo book

Weekly Bunshun’s “Genshoku bijo zukan” (primary color beauty picture book) will be released on Sept. 24th and Kusanagi Tsuyoshi is featured as his character Nagisa, a transgendered woman for the upcoming film “Midnight Swan” (will be shown in theaters on Sept. 25th).

In addition, a special cinema book for “Midnight Swan” will be released on Sept. 25th and will feature a special limited interview with Kusanagi.

Nagisa, a transgender person who lives a life of physical and mental conflict and lived without the love from her parents.  She now works in a transsexual club, Sweet Pea in Shinjuku

Her relatives daughter, Sakurada Ichika (featuring the debut of Hattori Kisaki) is in her second year of junior high school student and is neglected by her mother. Ichika was not blessed with a good family environment but she has a rare talent as a ballet.

Nagisa decides to help care for Ichika.

Mizukawa Asami plays the role of Saori, mother of Sakurada who is drunk on a daily basis and neglects her daughter.  Taguchi Tomorowa plays the role of Yoko Mama who works at the club, Sweet Pea and is a transgender who has faced discrimination since the Showa Era.  Matobu Sei plays the role of a ballet instructor.
