If there was any hope of fomer TOKIO member Yamaguchi Tatsuya possibly returning back to entertainment, it appears that his latest troubles may prevent that from happening.
On September 22nd, Yamaguchi was arrested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department for drunk driving (driving under the influence of alcohol) in Nerima Ward.
According to the police report, at 9:30 a.m. on September 22nd, a Harley Davidson 1200cc motorcycle driven by Yamaguchi collided with a car who was waiting for a traffic light on the streets of Sakuradai, Nerima. The driver called 110 and the police came and checked his breath on the spot because he smelled alcohol on Yamaguchi and exceeded .07 mg. Yamaguchi admitted to the charges.
.07 mg of alcohol is equivalent to 7-8 cans of 500ml beer.
Yamaguchi left Nerima Police Station after 3:00 p.m. and was transferred to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.
According to witnesses, they said it wasn’t a big accident but wondered if the person on the motorcycle had been killed.
Another witness said the bike was laying down while Yamaguchi was sitting down and was completely drunk.
