Voice actress and narrator Yono Hikari has passed away

Family of seiyuu and narrator Yono Hikari have announced that she passed away on November 15th

According to her family, Yono was undergoing medical treatment but died on November 15th. The Velvet office manager published a message from the bereaved family indicating that Yono was being treated for cancer.

The family tweeted, “She love the life of working as a voice actor.  We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the people who supported her during her lifetime.  Yono Hikari’s voice wil continue to live on through her work.  Please don’t forget her voice”.

Yono is known for her role as Kaolinite in “Bishojo Senshi Sailor Moon Crystal” (Season III), Samui on “Naruto SD – Rock Lee’s Seishun Full Power Ninden” and Japanese voice dub for American TV shows such as Nadia for “24” season 6, Sherry on “Hawaiian Five-0”, American animation such as Jean Grey in “X-MEN Evolution” and Edna Walker in “Lego Ninjago” and many more.

皆様へ　よのひかりの家族です。よのは病気療養中でしたが、2020年11月15日に永眠致しました。声の仕事を愛し抜いた人生でした。生前よのを応援して下さったすべての皆様に心より感謝申し上げます。よのひかりの声は作品の中で生き続けます。どうか作品と共によのの声を忘れないでいてあげてください
