Musician/Actor Takeda Shinji (48) tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
According to his agency, on December 31st, he was receiving medical treatment at home. His Antigen test was confirmed as positive. His symptoms are stable and will continue to receive treatment at home.
Close contacts includes his wife, model Shizuka Manami and two others.
Takeda will continue to devote himself for recovery while seeking the guidance from medical institutions and the health centers.
Takeda was scheduled to appear on the musical “Parade” on January 15th. On January 2nd, two people involved in the musical tested positive for the novel coronavirus and on the 4th, all the cast and staff had to undergo testing. Another actor in the musical, Ishimaru Kanji also tested positive.
