Takeda Shinji broke his right heel bone during the recording of Fuji TV’s “Atarashii Kagi”

It was announced on August 23rd that actor/musician Takeda Shinji (49) broke his right heel bone during the recording of the Fuji TV variety show “Atarashii Kagi”, while he was appearing as a guest.

While recording in an indoor pool, two people competed to climb a 2-meter high mountain shaped float floating on a pool. When he jumped off a float, he hit the bottom of the pool with his right heel.

Takeda’s injury will take two to three months to heal.

Fuji TV released the following statement, “We sincerely apologize to Takeda Shinji and everyone involved. We will deal with future treatment in good faith . We will do our utmost to ensure safety management in program production”.
