Morning Musume ’21’s Fukumura Mizuki addresses Internet rumors on her blog

Fukumura Mizuki, the current leader of Morning Musume ’21, took to her blog on April 16th to address rumors that she met personally with fans.

Fukumura wrote, “There is no fact that I met or contacted any fan personally.  The things I post on SNS everyday are my daily life and feelings towards my favorite things, places and shops I went to.  However, during the pandemic, I have not gone out at all, let alone eat with family members, instructors and people in the company.  That is how I been living for well over a year.  After noticing this, I don’t want to be misunderstood if I posted something I liked, so I couldn’t blog about it anymore.  I’m more scared of “Why do I have to feel like this”?  There is also anger.  I’m very confused why I am even involved in this kind of thing.  I’m sure some of you may believe what is written on social media, but this is unfounded”.

Upfront Promotion also denied the rumors on the Internet and takes the case very seriously and will notify the person of the fan club that it violates fan club membership agreements.  Also, in the future they will take appropriate measures to those involved, in cooperation with the police and lawyers, in response to the slander on the Internet.

Former Morning Musume, Mano Erina also came to Fukumura’s defense:
