Morning Musume ’22 leader Fukumura Mizuki announced that she is graduating

Idol group Morning Musume. ’22’s ninth leader, Fukumura Mizuki (26) is graduating.

On the Hello! Project official website, the group and Hello! announced that Fukumura would be graduating from the project.

Fukumura wrote, “I want to go on a new path as an individual”, and there was an offer to graduate, but in 2023 Hello! Since the project is celebrating its 25th anniversary, she said, “I wanted to stay active as the leader of the Hello! Project and Morning Musume.  The new members, who were working hard and somewhat anxious, are now using their own individuality and showing a fun and shining appearance.  Looking at them makes me feel happy too .I still have a dream that I want to fulfill as Morning Musume. But entrusting that dream to my juniors has been a dream of mine for a long time. I would like to take a break and try new things, study, and find a job where I can make the most of what I have learned. For me, Morning Musume is a precious existence that I have spent half of my life on. I will do my best to repay Tsunku♂-san”.
