Orix Buffaloes wins game 5, Tokyo Yakult Swallows leads the Japan Series 3-2, Game 6 to be played in Kobe

This year’s Japan Series looked as if Yakult Swallows was going to win their first Japan Series since 2001 in Tokyo, until Adam Jones hit a pinch-hit home run in the 9th inning, putting the Orix Buffaloes ahead of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows 6-5.

Game six (and if needed, a game 7) now goes to Kobe at Hotto Motto Field in Kobe on November 27th, the former home park of the 1996 Japan Series champs, the Orix BlueWave (before the merger with the Kintetsu Buffaloes) led by Suzuki Ichiro.

The Tokyo Yakult Swallows lead with 3-2 in the Japan Series.
