Hysteric Blue’s guitarist Akamatsu Naoki (41) [real name: Nikaido Naoki] was charged with attempted obscenity by the Saitama District Court on November 24th and sentenced to one year and two months in prison. This is Akamatsu’s second prison sentence.

Hysteric Blue broke up in 2004 after Akamatsu was convicted on nine counts of rape (he entered a condo of a woman in her twenties who arrived home in Tokyo and raped and performed an obscene act on her) and was sentenced to 12 years in Yamagata prison on July 2006 and reportedly was taking a sex crime prevention program while in prison.

Akamatsu’s arrest led to Tama and Kusunose to start their own band, The Screaming Frogs.

According to media reports, Akamatsu served 12 years in prison and on September 23, 2020, he was arrested by Asaka prefectural police.

Akamatsu was suspected on an obscene act on a woman in her twenties on her way home from Asaka City, Saitama Prefecture, on the afternoon of July 6. He caused her minor injuries by pushing her down, pushing his hands to her mouth. The woman screamed and he escaped but later appeared at the Asaka police Station to turn himself in on July 11th.
