Ruby・sue ends its management contract with Sakaki Hideo and the business alliance with his company, Family Tree

The fallout for actor/director Sakaki Hideo continues, as the management office, Ruby・sue has ended their contract with him and also ending their business alliance with his production company, Family Tree.

Sakaki has been accused of alleged forced sexual intercourse by multiple actresses (four women, who say it took place from 2013-2017), which was reported in “Shukan Bunshun” on March 9th. One woman said she was forced to have sexual intercourse in a parking lot after drinking together with him at a bar.  Another actress said she wanted to star in a short film that he was directing and he took her to a love hotel in fear that she may lose her role in the film, if she refused.  Sakaki threw her on the bed and had sex with her without contraception.  She refused to have sex but Sakaki allegedly did not listen and wouldn’t stop.  The actress fell into depression and was forced to undergo medical treatment afterward.

Sakaki released a statement through his production website, Family Tree back on March 9th:

I’m really sorry that I hurt and saddened my irreplaceable and important family.

In addition, I am very sorry to the people who have been regarded as victims in the midst of this article regardless of the facts.

The content of the article is written to include facts and non-facts, but it cannot be said that nothing happened in the past. With that in mind, I pledge to regret and repent in the future, and I would like to take good care of people and their daily lives.

Finally, I deeply apologize to all concerned parties and would like to discuss future measures with experts before proceeding.

Suetake Masumi, the CEO of Ruby・sue, writes in a statement regards to the ending of their contract with Sakaki:

However, this series of turmoil shook and hurt many people’s hearts and raised a major issue for the industry as a whole.

Taking this deeply, we talked with him and came to the conclusion that we cannot move forward together, and as of today, we will terminate the business alliance with Family Tree Co., Ltd. and end the management.

I hope that Sakaki himself will take his reality properly, repent firmly, and walk his future life.

He sincerely apologizes for the great concern and inconvenience caused to all concerned.
