Yamashita Tatsuro to appear on TOWER RECORDS JAPAN’s “No Music, No Life!” for the first time in eleven years

City Pop legend, singer, musician and producer Yamashita Tatsuro will be appearing on the Tower Records Japan “No Music, No Life!” campaign, the first in eleven years.

Yamashita said on his participation in the campaign, “In 2022, when various problems are occurring at home and abroad, the new work “SOFTLY” was born for the first time in 11 years, with the earnest desire to gently and softly wrap up this turbulent era with music. I was selected as “NO MUSIC, NO LIFE.” For my previous work “Ray Of Hope”, but 11 years ago was the year when the Great East Japan Earthquake struck. It’s just a coincidence, but I have to feel something strange. In the previous work, I contributed a message saying “Music will continue,” with various thoughts, but this time again, the same as 11 years ago, “Music will continue.” I will send you the message again. It’s not an easy thought, but a really thoughtful word”.
