“ONE PIECE” creator Oda Eiichiro to take a break, “ONE PIECE” to be suspended for one month

Mangaka Oda Eiichiro is known as one of the hardest working manga creators and his manga “ONE PIECE” is one of the best-selling manga of all time.

He has been doing it consistently with very few breaks in between since July 1997. But this time around, Eiichiro Oda will be taking a break.

Oda took to Twitter to post the following:

Oda wrote, “I’m going to take a rest! I want to get organized heading to the final chapter so that that we can finalize things as soon as possible. I need 4 weeks! Time to prepare and I need some time to breathe!”.

In 2019, Oda announced that he would finish “ONE PIECE” in five years.

In the Twitter post, Oda said he would resume activity on “Shonen Jump” issue #34 on July 25th and for everyone to look forward to the movie “RED” to be released on August 6th.

Oda also teased of the beginning of the festival on YouTube at 19:00 p.m. on June 8th.
