AKB48’s Yamabe Ayu announced she is graduating, becomes the 27th member this year that will be graduating

AKB48 Yamabe Ayu (21) announced on the 22nd that she would be graduating from the group at a theater performance held at the AKB48 Theater in Akihabara, Tokyo.

The graduation performance will be held on October 2nd, and the concert held at Nippon Budokan in the same month will appear only on the first and second days.

Yamabe writes, “I don’t have two months left, but I hope we can make memories together until the last day and laugh a lot”.

Yamabe joined after being nominated at the AKB48 Group Draft Conference in 2015. In 17 she was promoted to regular member. Her older sister is Yamabe Mimu of “Tokyo Girls’ Style”.

After the show, she posted a message on the group’s official blog, “At the 2nd draft meeting, I was nominated by Team B, and I have had a lot of experiences. I am very happy to have met the members, and I am filled with gratitude. Thank you. Thank you very much! I want to cherish every second of the remaining time left, laugh a lot with everyone and make various memories. Please take care of me until the last day!”.

Several days ago, Yumoto Ami announced her graduation on the 19th. With Yamabe’s graduation announcement, she will now become the 27th member of AKB48G announce they are graduating in 2023.
