Momoiro Clover Z's manager Furuya Tomomi has passed away

The popular idol group “Momoiro Clover Z” announced on the 22nd that Furuya Tomomi aka “Furu-chan”, a popular Momoiro Clover Z manager and was involved in management for many years and was loved by fans, passed away on August 22nd. She was 40 years old.

The members sent their heartbreaking thoughts and gratitude to the manager they called “Furu-chan”.

Momota Kanako (29) updated her Instagram stories and posted an image of the sky. In white letters, she wrote, “Thank you for always being by my side, I love you”.

Takashiro Reni (30) updated her Instagram and posted a message with a beautiful image of the ocean under the title, “We saw the ocean together”. Takashiro wrote, “An important person who made me laugh a lot, who always protected me, who was there for me, who I spent a lot of time with, and who I saw many different sights with. A person who always surrounded those around me with his smile and kindness. The person I have always loved and will always love. I heard somewhere that whenever you think of someone in heaven, flowers overflow over their head. I hope Furu-chan will always be surrounded by colorful flowers. From now on. Tamai Shiori (28) posted on Instagram Stories, “She’s always by my side, she’s always protecting me, she’s always giving me a smile, she’s thanking me so much, please watch over me, I’ll always love her”.

Sasaki Ayaka (27) also posted a message of gratitude on Instagram Stories, saying, “Furu-chan, I love her!! We’ll continue to be together, thank you for everything”.

Kawakami Akira (49), a Momoiro Clover manager, posted a two-shot of himself and Furuya with his X, calling it “my partner”. After that, he posted an archive of Instagram Live and wrote, “Her birthday was on the 21st (August)… She worked really hard to reach her 40s. We had a birthday party in a hospital room with four people and nurses. I included my father”,’she said, tearfully revealing that she had a birthday party with Momoclo members. She paused and said, “So, it was the next day…”. Kawakami reported that she departed the day after meeting the members. Former members Ariyasu Anka and Hayami Akari also attended the wake.

Furuya appeared in many group live performances and variety shows, and was loved by Momoiro Clover Z fans. She was affectionately known as “Furu-chan” and has contributed to the group’s success over the years. Kawakami revealed that Furuya had been suffering from a serious illness in 2015, but she has since returned and appeared to be doing well.
