[UPDATE] Katsuji Ryo and Maeda Atsuko are married

Actor Katsuji Ryo (27) and former AKB48 member/actress Maeda Atsuko (27) were married on July 30th.

According to media reports, the two submitted their marriage notification on the 30th and that Maeda is not pregnant.

The two starred on the 2015 drama “Dokonjo Gaeru” and the film “Taberu Onna”.

The two have released a joint statement.

いつも一方ならぬお力添えにあずかり、誠にありがとうございます。

私事で大変恐縮ではございますが、私共、勝地涼と前田敦子は7月30日に入籍致しましたことをご報告させて頂きます。

友人を介して知り合い、お互いの人柄に惹かれ結婚を前提にお付き合いをするようになりました。未熟な二人ではございますが、笑顔の絶えない明るい家庭を築いていきたいと思います。これからも、お互いに支え合い、与えられたひとつひとつのお仕事に真摯に取り組んで参りたいと思っております。これからの二人を、どうか温かく見守って頂けましたら、幸いです。

We are excited to announce that Katsuji Ryo and Maeda Atsuko filed for marriage on July 30th.

We first became acquainted through friends and were attracted to each other’s personality and discussed the possibilities of marriage.
