IZ*ONE News: IZ*ONE is #1 on the Oricon Weekly Album Charts and Oricon Weekly Digital Albums Chart in Japan (October 29 – November 4)

IZ*ONE took #1 on Japan’s Oricon Weekly Album Charts which is a great achievement for a rookie group, considering the group has not made their Japan debut yet.

The mini-album sold approximately 12,000 copies for the first week (October 29 – November 4).  Also, the group ranked #1 on the Oricon Weekly Digital Albums chart with 3,179 downloads for the first week.

According to Yahoo! News, this is the first time a K-Pop group is #1 on the Oricon charts without having debuted in Japan.

As for “La Vie en Rose”, the music video is currently at 15.2 million views and if it continues its consistent progression, will reach 16 million views in several hours.

IZ*ONE (pronounced as “Eyez One”/IZ=12 and the meaning is 12 members coming together as ONE) features Jang Wonyoung, Miyawaki Sakura, Jo Yuri, Choi Yena, Ahn Yujin, Yabuki Nako, Kwon Eunbi, Kang Hyewon, Honda Hitomi, Kim Chaewon, Kim Minju and Lee Chaeyeon.

The 12 members are the finalists of Mnet’s “Produce48” which began with 48 trainees from South Korea and 48 members of Japan’s AKB48G (AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, NGT48).
