The following review is from February 1999

It was one of the most watched challenges on television as many watched “Ucchan Uriuri! Nanchan Narinari!!” to watch Utchan Nanchan’s Uchimura Teruyoshi and Nanbara Kiyotaka along with the cast take on a challenge.

It was not a basic challenge either…the cast would have to perform a Christmas “That’s Entertainment” performance/show in front of a live audience and the performance will be televised nationwide.

But that was not the only challenge, the group would have to perform John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s “Happy X’mas ~War is Over~” and Uchimura Teruyoshi would have to play a piano solo, Nanbara Kiyotaka would have to perform the saxophone solo, Horie Keisuke would have to play a solo with the cello, while Chiaki and Vivian Hsu would lead the vocals with other cast members and together with a symphony.

The special had quite a bit of a build up but for everyone watching, it was merely a wait and see if the group could pull it off.

And sure enough, they did!

The popularity of the special would eventually lead to the live recording being released as a single and having enjoyed the special and being inspired of how the talents pulled it off, I was impressed enough to purchase the single!

Also, being a big fan of Black Biscuits and Pocket Biscuits, it was cool to have everyone together for this special occasion!

The single is only Y500, so it’s quite inexpensive but for fans of the “Utchan Nanchan no Urinari!!” show or the actual Christmas special, may want to pick this Christmas single up!
